The Summit is a unique benefit of being a Kalibrate Group customer: you’ll get to hear about plans for the year ahead from Oliver Shaw our CEO and you will also get to hear from many of the expert team that support our customers.

The 2021 session was an important milestone for Kalibrate; it was our first customer summit since the acquisition of Intalytics, and investment into eSite Analytics. During the summit, we welcomed over 330 customers from across Kalibrate Canada , Trade Area Systems (TAS), Intalytics, and eSite, and heard from colleagues within those businesses with over 30 sessions available throughout the Summit.

The summit aimed to address the biggest challenges and opportunities in our markets today, with sessions covering topics as diverse as the electric vehicle revolution, fuel price optimization, location analytics, and the link between real estate and marketing teams.

A number of sessions were devised and presented collaboratively, covering topics such as Electric vehicles, fuel price optimization, location analytics and the link between real estate and marketing teams, while explaining how our solutions work together for the benefit of customers and how they can help remove the guesswork from business critical decisions. As we prepare for the 2022 conference, we look back at our top 5 most popular sessions from 2021:

1. Electric Vehicles: Meeting the needs of the EV consumer

Our EV sessions were among the most well-attended of last year’s event, with three sessions presented by Anila Siraj, our Managing Director of alternative fuels.

We opened by reviewing the state of the EV market with insight from our Electric Opportunity report. Covering ten countries, the report looked at rates of EV adoption, charging behavior, and how businesses are responding to growing demand.

2. The real world: Lessons learned from our retail customers

Dave Huntoon, Principal of Intalytics (now Kalibrate), and Charles Wetzel president at eSite, discussed from success to forced business pivots, and were joined by Claire’s Accessories and Michael’s. We heard first-hand what those business concerns were, key lessons learned, and how they flourished in the changing environment.

3. The real world: Lessons learned from our fuel and convenience customers

Jayne Clark Chief Revenue Officer, welcomed WAWA, ST1 and Galp Energia to our second client panel in the lessons learned from our fuel and convenience customers session, to discuss the insights from Kalibrates fuel retail clients as they shared perspectives from their regions. We discussed the lasting impact of Covid-19 and how consumers and fuel retailers had adapted.

4. EV customer segmentation

In our final EV session, Anila Siraj addressed the demographic profile of the EV consumer. We looked at EV driver segmentation, the journeys they take, and how retailers can create a compelling offer to attract EV consumers.

5. Using data to drive smarter decision making

Finally, from global sociodemographics right down to individual location characteristics, Rich Willcox, VP of Solution Engineering, presented a session on using data to drive smarter decision making. In this session, we explored the breadth and depth of the datasets that are used within Kalibrate’s products.

VUC customer feedback 2021

We asked our customers what their key takeaway from 2021’s summit was, and this is what they said:

Thank you to the Kalibrate team for delivering a well-organized slate of relevant, interesting content for another year virtually. Kalibrate is truly dedicated to helping its clients succeed in a challenging, ever-evolving retail environment” – Customer feedback

“The presenters have been well informed and professional” – Customer feedback

“Really enjoyed the talks about EV, what to expect for the future. A lot of the step out of the box thoughts I have, I will plan to speak to our Account Representative about.” – Customer feedback

Save the date; May 4- May 13 in your diary to be a part of this year’s Summit!
