The evolution of MPSI’s Single Site Analysis
Market Planning Solutions Inc, better known as MPSI, provided fuel pricing and site evaluation solutions in the US. Founded in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1970, MPSI quickly became a trusted advisor for fuel and convenience retailers looking for help with volume forecasting, fuel price management, and price optimization.
Where are MPSI now?
In 2011, MPSI merged with KSS Fuels and in 2013 the two companies rebranded as Kalibrate.
Many of the MPSI team are still working at Kalibrate to bring you the service you relied on — with even more data insights coming from Kalibrate’s other products and services.
“Even now, so many years after I joined MPSI, I still feel like we offer something unique to our clients. The industry has changed and our technology and insights are greatly enhanced, but the basics of what we do, and why, remains the same.”
— Marianne Hillhouse, Senior Sales Representative
The Kalibrate team works with many major global fuel and convenience brands, as well as smaller, family-owned businesses. Kalibrate has enriched MPSI’s offering with in-depth global market knowledge garnered from cutting-edge data science with machine learning and AI. It’s wide reaching data sources and unrivalled modeling techniques provide clients with additional intelligence on how their sites will perform in the market. Kalibrate provides custom commentary alongside the analysis, giving gas station owners an in depth understanding of how to maximize their sites’ potential.
Over the years, Kalibrate’s Single Site Analysis has evolved to exceed the expectations of our customers, and as a result, we’ve retained many MPSI clients over several decades:
“I first worked with Kalibrate over 15 years ago, back when the company was operating as MPSI. They provided a report for my very first site and I have come back to them multiple times since. Without these single site analysis reports there is a lot of vital data that just wouldn’t be available to me.”
— Gaby Jabbour – GNC Properties Inc
MPSI’s study, now Kalibrate’s Single Site Analysis, allows existing and potential fuel retailers to accurately predict potential gas volumes and site performance. A full gas station feasibility study covers the 7 Elements for Fuel and Convenience Retail Success (7E): location, market, brand, facility, merchandising, price, and operations.
Kalibrate’s Single Site Analysis contains all the tactical information you need before investing in a new or existing fuel retail site. Provided in an easy to digest format with clear visualizations, a full gas station feasibility study from Kalibrate will give you:
- Local competitor analysis
- Site volume potential
- QSR, c-store, and car wash potential
- Comprehensive commentary
Giving you a complete understanding of your site’s potential and exactly what you need to do to maximize it.
The team are able to draw on their experience with MPSI and harness Kalibrate’s latest data science to bring you an unbiased, dependable site analysis.
