Kalibrate launches AI-powered feature to streamline real estate decision-making

By leveraging AI to generate and, more importantly, contextualize insights from geospatial and business data, Kalibrate is setting a new industry standard for location intelligence.

DALLAS, TEXAS (August, 2024) – Kalibrate Location Intelligence (KLI), the premier location intelligence platform for retail, restaurant, and healthcare brands developed by Kalibrate, is revolutionizing real estate decision-making with the launch of its AI-powered assistant.

This groundbreaking tool, integrated into the KLI platform, empowers users to make swift, data-driven decisions about their brick-and-mortar portfolios. By leveraging AI to generate and, more importantly, contextualize insights from geospatial and business data, Kalibrate is setting a new industry standard for location intelligence.

“At Kalibrate, our mission has always been to provide our clients with the best tools to make informed, real estate and market planning decisions and the introduction of an AI tool into KLI will allow clients to make those decisions in a much more efficient way,” said Dustin Stancil, Senior Vice President Location Intelligence and Strategy at Kalibrate. “Our differentiator is our analytical capabilities and our data – be it proprietary or purchased – and this AI assistant has access to insights that other out of the box AI tools do not have. The integration of AI into KLI is a natural evolution to meet the growing demands of our users.”

Benefits of the new AI feature

The first phase of the AI integration offers a two-fold benefit:

Time Saving Data Queries: The AI assistant serves as a powerful tool to more efficiently visualize data on a map or summarize complex information while eliminating repetitive tasks. In this first release, users will be able to give prompts such as “show me high income areas in Detroit” or “map my competitors in the Charlotte MSA” and the query will instantly return the results visualized on a map. Future iterations will include thematic shading and analytics related to an ever-growing pool of proprietary and licensed third party data.

Multi-Layer AI for Maximum Impact: Kalibrate’s AI strategy involves setting up multiple layers of intelligence for the AI assistant, transforming it into a new team member that understands all relevant operational data and can contextualize it geospatially.

How users can leverage the AI assistant

“Our initial integration of the AI help tool into KLI is designed for anyone needing quick access to data through intuitive queries,” says Rob Broccoli, Vice President of Software Engineering at Kalibrate. “The AI assistant allows users to ask questions and receive immediate, relevant data, eliminating the need for cumbersome clicks and searches. A user of KLI can then apply their critical thinking directly to the outcome. This kind of workflow will reduce the amount of time a user can produce a variable result, greatly saving time and money.”

“This tool will give analytics and real estate teams the competitive edge to outperform the competition and will get analytical capabilities future-proof for decades to come,” said Peer Schaefer , Lead Product Manager of Location Intelligence at Kalibrate. “We want our users to understand that we plan to go way beyond what you would ordinarily expect from a large language model that anyone would be able to access through the internet already. This will surpass anything you have seen in the industry.”

Future state of the tool

Built on OpenAI model via a secured and segregated tenant, over the next 12-18 months, Kalibrate has an ambitious roadmap for its AI feature. “We have a robust list of features and tools slated for development,” shares Broccoli. “The AI landscape is rapidly evolving, and we have a dedicated team reviewing opportunities to add value while ensuring a secure environment for our clients. Continuous client engagement will be key, and what we have planned is truly incredible.”

“The truth is that companies can’t afford to fall behind the curve when it comes to leveraging cutting-edge technology in the next five to 10 years, a timeframe that will be one defined by the advances in AI. We are planning on a multi-agent architecture, which is in line with where the industry is going, making use of highly specialized models that act as agents.” finished Schaefer.
