Jayne Clarke appointed Representative Director of Kalibrate Japan
TOKYO JAPAN — Kalibrate Technologies Ltd has this quarter welcomed Jayne Clarke as its Representative Director to the Japanese division.
The company, which specializes in data, software, analytics, and consulting for the fuel and convenience retail industry, has appointed Clarke based on her 10 years of experience in the technology sector.
In a previous role as Commercial Director and Chief Sales Officer, she was responsible for leading a payroll and HR business while consolidating new acquisitions into the organization. Her integrated marketing and sales approach helped drive the business to become the largest software company in the UK.
Although disappointed that she won’t be able to visit Tokyo due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Clarke commented, “I’m excited to collaborate with our Japanese team. Japan is a key market for Kalibrate and I predict positive things happening in the region over the next few years. Our Japanese division has a rich history in fuel network planning, and recent improvements to our software will only enhance our ability to support clients to make better decisions.”
Kalibrate Japan and COVID-19
2020 marks Kalibrate Japan’s 35th year in operation, of which, 18 years have been spent actively surveying fuel sites across the whole country. This has resulted in 13 rounds of gas station survey data covering all but the country’s most remote island. Surveying was temporarily paused during April and May 2020 — the first break in surveying that Kalibrate’s Japanese division has had in almost two decades.
Fortunately, it has now resumed and the most recent survey from July-August covers the Yamanashi and Nagano prefectures.
General Manager of Kalibrate Japan, Keiko Sagawa, notes that, “As with every business, the pandemic has been a challenging time for us, but I’m confident that Jayne Clarke’s leadership, combined with our unrivaled survey data and network planning software, will lead Kalibrate Japan from strength to strength, through COVID-19 and beyond.”
