Kalibrate awarded US patent – Methods and systems for generating an aggregated data stream
Manchester, United Kingdom – Thursday February 24th, 2022 – The US Patent Office (USPTO) has granted Kalibrate Technologies Limited a US patent number US11227295B2 for the invention “Methods and Systems for Data Modelling at a Different Frequency”.
The invention provides for data aggregation of higher frequency pricing information to make better business decisions. It also significantly improves the operation of data architectures needed to overcome multiple barriers of execution inherent in more frequent and complex data requirements.
Kalibrate developed a project on data aggregation, creating better analytics and validated capabilities for data management to transform higher frequency data into insight for business decision-makers. In many situations, it is difficult to build a model when a data stream does not include regularly spaced observations. Kalibrate’s invention presents an approach to solve these problems by building a model using aggregated observations.
The invented method will allow users to select higher frequency pricing periods, which in turn assists in setting optimal pricing periods using the expectation-maximization algorithm. These pricing periods can be defined at specific sites and locations.
“We are pleased that the US Patent Office has yet again recognized the uniqueness of our capability in this customer critical domain of data management,” said Oliver Shaw, CEO at Kalibrate Technologies Limited. “The patented invention is especially important for the big data environment of retailers across markets, customers, location and optimization needs”.
“It is a great pleasure to achieve this patent decision by the US patent authorities”, said Gareth Owen, VP Research & Development at Kalibrate, co-inventor of this patent. “This award is a consequence of substantial efforts within our R&D and data science organization. It is a great testament to our focus on innovation and it showcases our company’s expert know-how in data management”.
Kalibrate Technologies Limited, with its origin from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), has a portfolio of patents or patent applications covering critical IP product and solution domains. This gives Kalibrate Technologies Limited recognition of uniqueness, patent protection in critical capability domains, and ultimately a competitive differentiation in the marketplace.
