Lowe’s expands shop-in-shop partnership with Petco to 300 stores 

Lowe’s is expanding its store-in-store partnership with Petco from 15 locations to almost 300. The company said it expected its penetration of rural areas would be key to the growth of operating profit in the next three to five years.

Domino’s Pizza reverses course, partners with Uber Eats on U.S. and international deliveries 

We’ve explored the pros and cons of third-party delivery in a recent blog LINK, but it seems Domino’s was simultaneously wrestling with a similar conundrum. The pizza delivery giant recently confirmed it would partner with Uber Eat in the US and 27 international markets.

Fast grocery firms doomed by French dark store ban 

Two of the largest fast grocery dark store operators will leave France after the French Government ruled dark grocery stores must be classed as warehouses. Getir and Gorillas have both ceased operations in France after complaints from locals and regulators’ fears over unfair competition. Paris alone had 80 dark grocery store locations across 12 different operators.
