Meet Jared Janczak:
What does a typical working day look like for you?
Every day is different, so it keeps me on my toes and I frankly enjoy it that way. I keep on top of our client’s needs to stay in front of what they are looking for whilst keeping their models and platforms in pristine shape — all to keep them happy!
What do you love about your role?
I really enjoy meeting new clients, hearing about their businesses and what makes them tick as well as thrive. Every day is new and every conversation I have is always different and enjoyable for me, and hopefully for my clients too. In a gist that’s what I like doing and I look forward to every day.
What do you think are the greatest challenges and opportunities in the convenience retail and QSR sectors?
I think the greatest opportunity that I’ve noticed recently is the data connectivity of mass mobile data and how that can be implemented with all types of clients in whatever industry they may be in. The ability to tie phone data to a specific person and how they travel, dictates and influences each market. Looking from a 30,00 ft view, we’re able to track and quantify those movements of consumer behaviour. It takes not just one of those cell-phone pings but really hundreds of thousands of them, and we look at those from a modelling and consumer influence perspective which tells us a lot about the environment. The ability to stay up to date is challenging, but once that is accomplished and influenced the right way, it can really help brands to succeed. I have noticed as of late, newer clients transitioning to those types of data sets and it shows a lot of insight into what they are looking for, helping them to succeed in ways that they could never have imagined.
